Once you have completed the Local Authority Preference Form or have applied online at Sefton admissions, you may have your application considered against the school’s faith/denomination criteria by completing the Supplementary Form in the information above.

Admissions Consultation

A consultation on admissions arrangements for pupils applying for school places for the academic year starting in September 2027 and beyond has been launched. There are changes to the oversubscription criteria. 

The consultation will open on Monday, 13th October 2025, and close on Monday, 24th November 2025

Comments on the proposed admission arrangements should be made via email to the Chair of Governors. Please include the words 'Admissions consultation - September 2027' in the subject line and email comments to  clerktogovernors@christtheking-school.com. Comments should also be emailed / in writing to the Archdiocese: The Archdiocese of Liverpool, Education Department, St Margaret Clitherow Centre, Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park L17 1AA. Alternatively, you may wish to email admissions@rcaol.org.uk

Admission Appeals

Where a parent is unsuccessful in obtaining a place for their child at a school to which they have applied they have a legal right to appeal that decision. This appeal is heard by an independent appeal panel.
