This term pupils from all year groups will be taking part in a lottery-funded programme delivered by the Amy Winehouse Foundation in partnership with addaction.
The programme aims to build resilience and works with ‘teachers, parents and pupils to better manage their emotional well being, to enable students to make healthy decisions about the use of drugs and alcohol, and how to handle peer pressure their self-esteem, and risky situations.’  All presentations and sessions will be age appropriate.
 
Parents are invited to a drop in session on Wednesday 19th September 2018 from 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm in the Main Hall to find out more about this programme. Pupils have been given a letter regarding this and, if you would like to attend, could you please return the reply slip by Monday 17th September 2018.
The programme schedule is as follows:
Wednesday 19th September 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm – parent drop in
Thursday 4th October – 1 hr assemblies for all year groups
Monday 8th October – Yr 7 – 1 hr workshops
Tuesday 9th October – Yr 8 -1 hr workshops
Thursday 11th October – Yr 9 -1 hr workshops
Friday 12th October – Yr 10 -1 hr workshops
Monday 15th October – Yr 11 – 1 hr workshops
Monday 29th October – for 6 weeks – selected pupils will take part in 1 hr weekly sessions.
