Dear CTK Community,
As we come to the end of another half-term, I wanted to thank you all for everything that you have been doing to keep the community of Christ the King working together during these difficult times.
I’d like to send my thanks to all of our pupils/students for engaging with our new ways of learning, to our parents/carers for supporting with home-schooling and to all of our staff who have been doing everything expected of them in such a positive way.
I will be sending out a letter later today containing more information for parents and carers.
You will have noticed that I, and the Senior Leadership team, have been signing off our blogs and correspondence with ‘Stay safe and be kind’. Being kind is one of the most important things we can all do to make a difference in the lives of others – and this is particularly so during these unprecedented times.
The book ‘Wonder’ by R.J. Palacio is full of quotes about kindness. Here are two that I would like to share with you:
“When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind.” (Dr Wayne W. Dyer)
“If every person in this room made it a rule that wherever you are, whenever you can, you will try to act a little kinder than is necessary – the world really would be a better place. And if you do this, if you act just a little kinder than is necessary, someone else, somewhere, someday, may recognize in you, in every single one of you, the face of God.”
CTK Community, over half-term please remember to stay safe and be kind.
