The challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, the precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
The problems on the Senior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think. Most are accessible, yet still, challenge those with more experience.
We were delighted when the results came back and our Year 13 had achieved 2 Gold certificates, one silver, and 2 bronze awards to recognise their high achievement. Year 12 achieved one silver and 4 Bronze awards and Lewis Clifford in Year 11 attained Bronze Certificate level!
Further, our 2 Gold award Students were among the highest performing in the country as Callum Naylor was invited to the next round and Ben Rimmer was in the top 1000 students across the whole UK and is now taking part in the British Olympiad Round! Good luck Ben and we look forward to seeing how you do!!!!!
